Meg Marshall, JD, MPAP, is Director, Informatics Regulatory Affairs in The Office of Health Informatics (OHI), a department in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In this role, Meg works closely with VHA informatics partners and interagency offices to maximize benefit to Veterans and VHA health care through the advancement of clinical informatics policies and programs in support of interoperability and clinical information systems. She has extensive experience leading public policy solutions in the commercial electronic health record industry and in collaboration with information technology and informatics professional organizations and industry groups.
Meg holds a Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law and received her Master of Public Administration and Policy (MPAP) from American University. She is a member of the Missouri bar, a College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) Foundation Certified Healthcare Executive, and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP-US) with International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). Meg was named as a Healthcare IT Thought Leader on Health Data Management's list of 'The Most Powerful Women in Healthcare IT' for 2017.
