Stage 1 of the Meaningful Use program consists of 24 core and menu objectives. Hospitals began attesting to Stage 1 in 2011.

  1. *'Transmit Health Information Online' was added to AHA survey in 2013. Data was not collected for 2012. 'View, Download, Transmit' functionality, therefore, reflects only data collected in 2013.   2. Data reflects the responses of 2,655 non-federal acute care hospitals.
  3. Data calculated from answers to survey question: "Does your hospital currently have a computerized system which allows for?" [multiple functionalities listed].
